Part of the series: “Staying Focused on What God Says About Your Life”
Believing IN God is easy, at least it is for those of us who are Believers. Believing all of God’s promises for us can often be a little more of a challenge.
Mark 11:24 – Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Praying comes easy for most Christians. We take our needs and desires to God. That’s the easy part. But once you’ve done that, do you do what Mark 11:24 says to do and “believe that you receive them”?
Our “believing” is one of the keys to receiving. The scripture says that first we must “believe”… then we “will have them.”
Often times our prayers simply feel like a wish turned Godward. Not unlike blowing out candles on the birthday cake. You make a wish, hope it comes true, but aren’t holding your breath for it. That’s not what prayer is.
When we talk to God and tell Him our desires, we have to “believe” that He wants us to have that desire. And we have to be willing to stand firm on that belief for as long as it takes for the outcome to manifest (more Diligence!)
Today, check your “believing.” How firm is it? Do you believe without a shadow of a doubt that “you will have them”? If not, work on solidifying that over the next few days.
In the meantime, check your “vision.” Have you written it and made it plain?
